Why this matters
Cambodian customs, tax and licensing rules are applied case by case. The same product can carry a different duty rate depending on how it is classified, and the same business can face different requirements depending on its size, activity and location.
Guides on this site explain how things generally work and how to calculate the numbers involved. They cannot tell you what will be decided in your case.
Confirm before you commit
Before you ship, register, pay or sign, confirm the position with the body that enforces it:
- The General Department of Customs and Excise, for classification, duty and clearance.
- The Ministry of Commerce, for company registration and export documentation.
- The General Department of Taxation, for registration, tax rates and filings.
- The Ministry of Labour and the immigration authorities, for work permits and visas.
No professional relationship
Reading this site does not create a professional relationship of any kind. For a decision that carries money or legal risk, engage a licensed customs broker, lawyer or accountant.
Currency of information
Each guide carries a last-updated date. Anything older than a few months should be treated as background rather than current procedure.
